Our iconic box bag is assembled using excess materials obtained during the manufacturing processes of fast-fashion and luxury brands. Traditionally, these materials often end up in landfills or get incinerated. However, écotorie stores and restores these leather trimmings to curate premium accessories that does not involve utilizing new materials.
Sustainability
The box bag is made from 93% upcycled materials. In essence, upcycling materials has two major impacts on our environment.
- Eliminating energy, carbon, and water consumption by not utilizing new materials; and
- Preventing surplus materials from ending up in landfills or getting incinerated - indirectly offsetting our carbon footprint.
Our packaging comprises of 100% recycled craft paper with an organic cotton dust bag. All the hardware used is free of heavy metals.
